Dad loved to fish. In Colorado, he took his fishing pole everywhere, just in case he got to stop at that mountain stream or lake. I was thinking this morning, I could just imagine Jesus, Dad and Grandpa sitting on the banks of the River of Life doing a little fishing ( catch and release, of course). I'm sure that his family that's already there were so glad to see him, but we're sure gonna miss him. I love you , Dad and plan on seeing you in Heaven, someday!

Awesome Heidi. What a wonderful thought and memory. Love you. Hope to see you sometime soon!
Heidi, You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers.
Oh Heidi, I didn't know. I will be praying for you & your family. What a beautiful tribute and picture.
Your family is in our thoughts and prayers. With love and sympathy - Steve, Beth, Maria and Kent Stetler
Heidi, that was a sweet post about your Dad. I cannot believe that he is gone to Heaven. I have always thought of your Dad as such a dear Christian man.
I'm praying for you and your family during this difficult time!
Heidi, I came to appreciate your dad so much during our "library days". He was a wonderful Christian man. I love your family very much and my prayers are with you during this time. Judieb
Very true tribute. I still remember the first time I ever fished when Uncle Francis helped me catch a fish off of the back of your porch when i was about 3 years old. I guess nature-loving runs in the family. I will miss him. Thinking of you all during this time. Love you all.
Heidi, Wow, I was swimming through the great blogger sea last night when I discovered the Weingard girls.
I found Dixie first and with a little searching, I found the rest of your sites. It was so neat to check up on you guys. You would probably remember me as Rene Jones. I visited your home many times while I was at GBS. Working for your mom in the library and having her for a mentor was one of the best things that happened to me there. I was saddened for you all, to hear of your dad's home-going. You will all be in our prayers. I'm sure I will be checking back quite often, to see what's happening in your worlds. It seems like you have a great husband.
I have been married for fourteen years now and have a 13 year old son and an 8 year old daughter. We still live in good old Indiana. Take care and God bless. Rene Biberstein
Rene, So good to hear from you! It's been a long time.
Keep in touch!
