Rejected

We have been officially rejected by China for adoption, because Mike is one handed. We are not even allowed to adopt a child with a similar physical problem. That hurt, also made me quite blue. It is one of China's newest requirements for prospective parents. Our agency really tried. They petitioned the CCAA for us several times but the answer was still NO. Now, it means starting the process all over with another agency and another country. We are looking at Bethany Christian Services as a possibility. Anybody know anything about them??

I would check with FamilyLife.com They have been having a big deal about adoption lately on their program. Also, Have you ever heard of Steven Curtis Chapman's Shoahanna's Hope? Maybe they could offer some type of support for y'all. Sorry to hear of the big dissapointment. God knows though... He has a bigger plan.

I found your blog from Becca Ramsay's blog; I am Jonathon's 2nd cousin, I have a blog too. I hope it works out for you to adopt a child. We didn't think we could have any children and wanted to adopt, then God blessed us with a special needs son and 6 years later a beautiful daughter.

Heidi, I'm so sorry. I know how much you and Mike wanted this. I thought of that quote that says, "God always gives the best to those that leave the choice to Him." I know that God is in control in spite of how it might "feel". Hang in there. God will give you the desires of your heart.

Heidi and Mike,
I had told Aunt Mi and Grandma they are praying as well as I am praying that God will open the door for you. There is a family that I know of that has adopted four children and I will be checking with them to get who they are with, When I find out I will let you know. God has a plan. Stay encourage for God knows what is best even though we do not see His hand. God has a little one out there somewhere for you. Keep trusting God to show you His will. Love you both and in our prayers.

Heidi,
Sending you a big hug and a bushel full of love. Praying for you. I've questioned in my own life why things have to happen. I'm realizing more and more the great wisdom of God and how He can take "evil" and turn it into good. God will not let you down.
